Why are Alabama fans the only fans that realize LSU is still a top 3 SEC team?

I have noticed this offseason that many polls are ranking LSU way lower than they should be. Also, many of the posters of the SECr think LSU is their 4th or 5th toughest game, which is laughable. However, Alabama fans recognize that LSU is still their hardest game this year (at worst 2nd behind Auburn).
Is it because they are the only other fanbase that knows what real talent looks like? Or is it that the rest of you are just trolling/being delusional?

Best melt of the week IMO.

It's been proven time and time again that homerism runs rampant. Only a handful of objective posters on this board that can look at teams and be objective about said teams.
I think a 13 ranking is ok for LSU - we'll climb that mountain throughout the season

They are clinging to the past. Alabama fans are known for this.

What exactly do your jimmies look like in this current state of rustledness?

They are terrified of LSU... Downplaying LSU is an excellent coping mechanism.

they don't have an offense, I think it's fair to assume that LSU finishes 3rd or 4th in the West.

most on here are permanently butthurt over various things LSU posters have said.
not even trolling with that response either. It's the truth.

It may have something to do with both being right.
LSU will be one of our two hardest games this year, but LSU always plays well against us lately and makes it a hard hitting games. They don't seem to show the same intensity for most of their other games IMO (I don't watch every game, but I think that is fairly accurate for the last two years from what I have seen). So they can still be our hardest game and not be ranked in the top 10.

They're clearly unable to spot a decline as well

Why is it so hard for LSU fans to understand that we lost a 3K yard passer, a 1K yard rusher, and 2 1K yard receivers? All of these are being replaced with talent, but you can't help but to see the question marks.
We've yet to identify a starting QB. Of all our potential starting QBs, they accumulate a grand total of 1 start in CFB. That 1 start wasn't the best performance in the world either, certainly could have been worse.
LSU will be fine, but it's certainly understandable why the media isn't quite to fast to crown them SEC contenders yet. The young guys have a lot of work to do and they are capable. They will get the recognition they deserve when the time comes.

I like your response.
But LSU's D this year will keep them in every ball game, and it's been proven that you can win with a good/great D and an offense that is still trying to find it's identity.
