For all the people saying Barker, you are aware he won the Johnny Unitas Award and finished #5 in the Heisman voting his senior year right? He was drafted and played in the NFL for 2-3 years (on the bench of course).

While that's not particularly impressive, it's a pretty strong indication he wasn't the worst ever. Obviously he was much worse in 92 than in 94. People seem fixated on his lackluster year during the title run than when he was pretty dang good by the end of his career.

I mean, if you talk pre-SEC championship era there are a tons of wtf QB's.

I read the question to be asking the worst quarterback to win an SEC title at the time he won it. Obviously, Barker went on to a very successful career. At the time he won it in 1992, Barker was a very shaky QB.

I did acknowledge in my original post that he was a very good QB as a senior.
