If you have paid attention to this recruitment from Alabama fans side you would understand it is a just do it and get it over with stance more than a shite lost a good player stance. He can be replaced .

I have. It's similar to when Derrick Henry decommitted from UGA in terms of the fan treatment of the situation.

I can see the comparison but DH was a whole lot bigger loss than JL will be. Skill position losses hurt.

I compare this situation to how our fans felt about Stephen Roberts, Auburn safety, at the time of his decommitment from Bama last year. It was ridiculous how many times he was visiting Auburn while claiming to be 100% committed. We had some thoughts of a possible backup plan, but nothing set in stone. Just ready to get it over with and move on to the next.

As it turns out we ended up with a much better player in Tony Brown. I am confident that the Bama coaches will replace Ledbetter with someone just as good if not better. I have a small list of commits that I would be butthurt about if they went anywhere else, and Ledbetter is not on that list.

This. Exactly this. Once it came out that Rivers flipped, Patrick committed, everyone knew Ledbetter would hop on board.
