Two members of my family called today. Neither received any deals from DTV.

You have to ask. Start the conversation by saying id like to cancel for this reason unless you can offer me a reason to stay. She said "well there are some options available to you, do you have a pen handy?" She listed they options and I said I want all of them. She gave them to me and the I said, "look, if you guys cave to pressure and pick up sec network I still expect these offers to be in place on my bill". She said they absolutely would be.

ETA: entire call took about ten minutes. It's worth the time. Call EXPECTING a deal, not hoping for one. You'll get it.

My sister called.
Explained she'd been with them since 2001 and spent thousands of dollars on their product over the years, but that they were looking to make a change, due to the SECN.
They spoke for awhile, and the woman was less than knowledgeable.
I think she just happened to get a lousy person on the line.

This strategy works with women in general.
