One of the guys that works for me in sales is Aggie '73. His ring so worn it is completely smooth on both sides. When we are out together and other Aggies see his ring they are awestruck.

Nice.

Some of the old Ags have more gold in their rings, making the ring more malleable ... but I'm partial to the old, unwritten Aggie farmers/laborers tradition that says an Ag whose ring is smooth shows that he has worked his whole life.

(The little dents on the underside of the ring are "assholes." They represent teasips. In time, they disappear as well.)

That happens with farmers and ranchers and other outdoor jobs. Sales? He's either a woodworker hobbyist or a serial killer .

Mine looks new, because... well, it is. Weird thing for other Aggies reading this: the lifetime warranty on that ring covers everything including you putting on weight and/or switching hands. Which probably means you paid way too much for it to start with, but that's another topic.
