quote:

Not that this means shite. No one ever said anyone was arrested.

So to recap ...

1. A reporter who lives in Bryan (with his young family) tweeted a police report about neighborhood crime.

2. An over-zealous Ag who works for a website that consistently tries to drum-up traffic for a message board that few Aggies frequent (or know exists) made the leap to connect said crime activity to the football team.

3. The Internet breaks-down over rumors.

4. A kid's name is dragged through the mud.

5. Facts are finally explored.

6. Police Dept. sets the record straight, but "it doesn't mean shite," because the ONE person whom you want to believe--a desperate guy on a website--made a knee-jerk reaction.

Does that cover everything?

I don't remember anyone ever saying there was an arrest. I do remember the word "investigated" being used many times. So yeah that tweet seems to not mean shite since nobody said there was an arrest yet
