he never said it would be $50m in year one.

that was always going to be a few years down the line.

No one ever said that.

What most educated SEC fans were saying is that, along with the SEC Network, when combined with other revenue, each school will eventually be looking at $50 million.

Now, $40 million appears to be about to happen right out of the chute.

Do you disagree? Or are you saying $50 million payout per program is not going to happen?

I don't think he ever claimed that. He speculated that the subscriber fees would start off around $1.00/subscriber and possibly increase to $2 and $3 in the coming years (like Big 10 and PAC 12 currently cost), doubling and tripling the revenue.

SECN is starting out at $1.30/subscriber, so it will be more successful at launch than he originally thought.
