I have a serious question...how much utilization for WR's is there in Gus's system...I'm probably wrong but I don't remember a lot of passes in our game last year...of course I remember the last one but...what's the pitch to a big time WR like this in Auburn's offensive system...who probably wants quality "show" time...

And congrats on the possible commit..

When Gus trusts his WRs and QB, it's a lot more balanced. Last year was about the least amount of throwing you'll see Gus do. His QBs were throwing for over 4000 yards at Tulsa

I think we have seen in 2009, 2010 Gus is not afraid to throw it around when he has the QB to do so. Even in 2009 our passing broke AU records and that was with Chris Todd at QB.

The problem is Marshall was a pretty bad passer at the beginning of last season and was only on campus a few weeks before the season started so we had to adjust to what he/we could do. Turns out we what we could do we could do it extremely well and we rode it to the national title game.

I'm confident an improved Marshall and a slew of highly rated passers waiting behind him we'll become a much more balanced offense though after seeing what we did last year I'm not sure I want to. Why not keep running it 75 times a game if nobody can stop it?

Had there been better talent at WR and had a better passer they would have thrown more. Look for them to throw more in 14 with a more comfortable QB and an upgraded WR core.
