More schools are going to do what TAMU did for their OL and tap their contingency fund each of them get each year. It's capped but they could spend $360K last year on emergency trips home, suits for postseason awards shows, or insurance policy subsidization like TAMU did. They helped the kid buy the policy using the fund.

It'll happen more often now that TAMU used it and NCAA deemed it okay, and with kids having less clear information on the back end Evals. They'll stay in school but take out those policies just in case

I'm quite happy that A&M stepped up and did right by the kid. Everybody wins.

Shocked that the NCAA had a moment of clarity whilst their head is normally up its own rectum.
