With Les Miles consuming so much of their sod and the upkeep of constantly trying to regrow it and maintain it, at some point, doesn't it become worth it to just go ahead and switch to artificial turf?

No. The good Lord made grass so that SEC football could be played upon it.

What if artificial turf makes for a faster playing surface? Players could get hurt and Bert might get mad.

yea if he comes to Mizzou, I'm hoping we will have a special path reserved for him to get over to the hill during the game, so he can get him some good cud material.

None of us are Boise State.

Maybe Ole Miss, but for the rest of us no.

Amen. Well stated.

Matter of fact, we used to have AstroTurf back in the old "Carpet the Cock Pit" days and we got rid of that crap.

Kids don't want to play on artificial turf down south ... it hurts recruiting and too many injuries occur on artificial turf.

Grass doesn't grow well at Faurot for some reason. Field Turf is a better playing surface anyway.

fortunately you are wrong, that may have been the case 50 years ago when the Astrodome was built, it is not the case today.

Fast players like playing on turf better because they don't have to risk blowing out their knee's when their foot gives way making a hard cut.
