To further what I was saying, I think he likely tempered his ambition with the risk/reward factor, he is as old as Pinkel, so he has limited time, and while rebuilding Bevo may not be the monumental time intensive task as some programs, if he did fail, he would not only be crashing the team, he would be crashing the conference.

Would you want to go out as the guy who not only failed at saving a program but brought down a conference in the process? A lot of potential risk for a guy that owns multiple million dollar lake houses and before it's over could own many more.

Yea it's a sh*tload of money but it's also a lot of stress and strain with that responsibility, maybe dude just decided he didn't want to make any harder for himself to sleep at night.
