I thought about this exact question yesterday when Butch Jones said Peyton had helped his QBs a tremendous amount this summer. It sounds like it would be some ridiculous rule the NCAA would have, but surely Butch wouldn't come out and admit violating it if the rule indeed exists.

I am almost positive this happens on a routine basis with most schools. now if it were outside of the school, I could see it being one

That is where this came from. I was watching the replay this morning getting ready for work and when he said that, it popped in my head.

I would assume that if they are on the field assisting with workouts, it is a violation. My dad had said in the past that Calvin Johnson would come to Tech and workout but they would not let the WRs work with him.

I would think that current student interaction would be fine but I wonder if the NCAA would look down on Carnell Williams(who is at AU finishing his degree this summer) working with CAP or Roc Thomas.
