It's a opportunity for evaluators to get

Legit measurables,40 time's,verts,ect..
OL VS DL in pads
QB's/WR's perform a huge variety of Passes/Routes,ect..

Why are some of you against using these competitions as way's to measure a prospects potential? The system has allot of flaws but are 247,Rivals,ect.. supposed to just go off of highlight reels, stats from the player or his HS coach and the UA/Army bowl to form a list?

A camp where they have full access to watch players tested in a variety of ways at their position shouldn't be factored in to the rankings they make?

Of course they should, but that doesn't make the rankings anymore legit. It just makes the top high school athletes spend more money running around to all these camps trying to make a name for themselves. Besides all these prospects are visiting schools where all these measurements are being taken anyway.

Also, last time I checked, the one thing these camps don't measure if how good the GPA/test score are. Doesn't matter how athletically talented you are if you can't get into school. Some of these kids would be far better off in summer school.

They should be factored in when relevant, but they should be very secondary. These camps have too big of an impact.

7on7, 1 on 1s etc. are missing a ton of variables that really limit their usefulness.

Examples:
1) If a receiver doesn't have chemistry with his randomly selected QB, he's not going to be very productive. Should his ranking drop?
2) Will a receiver make a play in traffic?
3) Is this DB willing to come up and hit?
4) How does a QB deal with pressure?
5) How does a DL pursue? What's his motor like?
6) Can this kid run in pads? (there's a difference)

There's no replacement for watching a kid play live, even against lower competition.
