Its like that. Its always been like that at OU. We had a comparatively small percentage of Texas kids until maybe 7-8 years ago. It seems like now it grows by another 800-900 per year. Recall that Fayetteville didn't even have an interstate running to it until about 1999. I think the ease of travel has jacked up awareness in DFW, along with the constant march northward of the Dallas burbs. Y'all will be throwing up tract houses in Denison before long.

ETA this article. Last year's freshman class was only majority Arkansas kids by 191 students. Its possible we enter the territory of more out of state students than in-state freshmen this fall.

UPDATE: Out-of-state numbers kept inching up this year, I see from preliminary numbers. Of 25,341 students, 15,307 are Arkansas residents. In the freshman class, there were 2,843 residents, 2,532 non-residents and 120 foreign students, for a bare 191-student edge for Arkies.
