This how it went down with my oldest:
Son: dad, Derrick said he has two moms.
Me: like a step-mom?
Son: no like two moms that live with him.
Me: yeah well sometimes girls like other girls and boys like other boys. I like girls though.
Son: me too
Me: I'm going to hold you to that.
Then we went back to playing wiffle ball.
