It's not like we're saying CS is the best town in the state or anything. It's far from it.
Austin just has hippies, hipsters, aggressive homeless people, terrible traffic, and most aggies tend to be blue collar type of people and it's a white collar town. It's a fun town for college students and kids in their 20s ( I had a lot of good times there) but after I had to steer my kids away from a homeless guy and prostitutes it lost its appeal. Still love to eat there and take customers out along Congress when a chance comes up. Bass Concert hall gets some great shows. Georgetown, Round Rock, San Marcos, and New Braunfels are loads of fun, I've just outgrown Austin proper.
I prefer Houston or SAx1000.
