What's wrong with doing both?

I go to our farmers market in Fayetteville often. I go to Ozarks Natural Foods, a local company that will more than likely be pushed out the door by the new Whole Foods coming in.

What's wrong with not shopping at Walmart because apparently outside of everywhere but a handful of places they're absolute shite?

ETA: I never said you shouldn't shop at any big box store. I try to shop local as much as I can because I like to my money benefit local folks. Unfortunately you can't always do that. But Walmart is pretty bottom of the barrel and when you start a thread bragging about them I'm going to call it as such.

I would have less of a problem with Wal-Mart if they actually provided good paying jobs to Americans with benefits instead of shipping them overseas like assholes.
