I remember Sabanocchio laughing at LSU for taking the Vol's "rejects" when we hired The Chief. He then proclaimed that Tennessee had "upgraded" at defensive coordinator by hiring Monte Kiffin.
That 2009 Volunteer defense would turn out to be Monte Kiffin's best college defense. And it was still worse in many areas than Chavis' last UT defense the year before.
Kiffin's defenses got worse every year save one at USC. To the point where his own son had to fire him. Meanwhile Chavis has been gold for LSU evey year.
