FWIW the SEC is now 3-0 in the NIT and with Ole Miss beating BYU Tuesday the conference is 4-0 thus far in the post season.

Good morning. In less than 5 hours, the University of Georgia will take the court with eyes on them from around the world. Glory, glory to ole’ Georgia.
Heroes have graced the field before them. Men with hearts, bodies and minds for which the entire Bulldog Nation can be justifiably proud. The tradition of unbridled excellence demonstrated by these individuals and many others spans more than a full century.
"Glory to ole Georgia." These words should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today the Dawgs take on the Spartans, and they will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from tournament annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the NCAA Tournament will no longer be known as an Izzo holiday, but as the day the Bulldog Nations declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Cinderella status!

Part of that Independence Day speech used to be my sig quote. I almost jumped onto my office desk and cheered after reading that. It would have gotten weird. Well played.

Really hope Gaines can go today. Fox says he didn't participate in practice but will give it a go if he can put weight on it
