Top 5 coach in football? Nah, probably not. But he deserves a shite ton of respect for what he does.

He is 75-73 as a head coach in his career. He was ran out of town at Ole Miss after he refused to fire his assistants and never got past being a middle tier program after so many seasons at Ole Miss. He was nothing more than underwhelming even after having Eli Manning a future Super Bowl winning QB. Mark Richt's resume takes an utter shite on this dudes resume and Richt isn't even in this guys Top 14. Blasphemy. It literally took him 6 years to post a winning season at Duke and that is after years of winning 3 or 4 games max and he could never win in the SEC. I don't understand the adoration with this guy. He makes solid QB's but has proven that he has issues building defenses. I wouldn't put him on any high tier coaching list because he has proven nothing as a head coach outside of not being able to put away Texas A&M after building a HUGE lead.

after winning 10 games. Dumbest move they've ever made.

it's ole miss for shite's sake. They ARE a middle tier program and that's all they'll ever be.

If you're gonna go that route, people should give richt more shite simply because we had a #1 pick at QB and never won the east

Yeah I agree richt should be on there. I also agree that silly, trivial lists like this don't matter as it's just one dude's opinion. I haven't even seen the list or clicked the link...I was simply saying Cutcliffe is a very good coach.

lol...that's actually quite an accomplishment.

In the last 50 years of duke football (not including cut), they had only won more than 6 games in a season 3 times, 2 were spurrier. Last year cut won more games in a season than ANY OTHER SEASON in duke history. At duke! It would be akin to someone taking south carolina to the final 4 in basketball.

his track record against us speaks for itself, that's all I need to know (or care about).

UT OC from 93-98
ole miss head coach til 04 (nothing noteworthy)
UT OC 06-07

We beat UT 4 out of richt's first 5 times. A few of them we were easily in control throughout. Cut comes back for 2 years and flat out, absolutely embarasses our defense back to back years. Year after he left we held them to 14 points.
