There is a prevailing wind out of the south during the summer in Omaha.

Are you sure? It's not on the ocean, near a mountain rage, or anything, I'd doubt there's much of a prevailing wind anywhere in Omaha and it would mostly be determined upon the weather conditions at the time and how the overall weather system is cycling at the time of the game.

No matter what and with very few exceptions, the weather moves across the state of Nebraska from east to west so it shouldn't effect it much other than to change the reward from righties to lefties. Even then it should be negligible.

There's some storms in Nebraska today, so I could see a southern wind coming in from the gulf, but that's not a normal situation unless there's a storm system coming in.
