It needs to happen. The SEC needs to get fully on board before it's too late.
Right now SCAR and KY are having to carry the load for the conference but sooner or later soccer will be demanded in the SEC and it is going to be very very tough for the conference to adopt it and excel at it overnight. It'll take decades, even though most schools have club teams already going.

I sure hope so. At the same time, I am glad we are getting away from college soccer as a path to the pros.

We've (TAMU) got the following in spades for our women's team.
Wish we had an NCAA men's squad as well.
It's a fun as hell sport to watch.
