The football writers of America poll was one of the ones that was considered viable for the national championship back then. They listed us. The NCAA has us and Minnesota listed as national champions in 1960. You're a virgin.

It really doesn't bother me that y'all claim it because the NCAA and SEC recognizes it. The thing that bothers me is that some of y'all use it as a current day advantage to prove relevancy.

The 1959 team goes down as the greatest team in the decade and people still want to fight that that wasn't a NC team either. We don't get it in '62 while going undefeated because of the Mereidth deal. Anyone with a brain realizes those 3 NC claims while not technically accurate by AP standards are deserving of the claims due to the bullshite of how the AP chose NC. Technically we won the west in 2003. We technically have a trophy an everything. Use your brains instead of going by technicalities
