we have thrown money at education for a long time. idk what the answer is, but funding education anymore at this point is like throwing it down a wishing well and crossing our fingers. The system is broken.

Private education is just fine.

Eh...pump the breaks there. Not every private HS is Episcopal or Catholic/St. Joes. Yes thankfully there are some good private schools...but they certainly all aren't.

Teacher Unions are ridiculous. Tenure even more so. It's past time to look at the other education systems that are working around the world and make a better education system. Let the states try out different ideas.

I've got a solution for both issues in this thread.

Weaponized concentrated birth control in the water supply.

Put it in low economic areas in America (kidding) and put it in the water in Iraq and Afghanistan to prevent the birth of new baby terrorists (serious).

And I also get that latent homosexual tension vibe from all terrorists.

The stories of boy rape are pretty gruesome over there.

It's not just terrorists, there's a huge number of homosexual men in many islamic countries.

We need to let this play out. The Kurds are taking the oppertuniy to gain some lands. Better them than the Arabs. The maps should be redrawn over there anyway. This just let's the free market do the job.

I'm curious to see how Iran chooses to play thid. They can't like a bunch of Sunnis marching toward Baghdad.

Don't risk an American life and just destroy key targets.

Majority of the Middle East is actually against these frickers taking Baghdad.

Ending the war on terror means they can't keep you living in fear, it means they can't keep making legislation to take away your rights, it means they can't keep growing their military-industrial complex.

I'd be down for an old fashioned ethnic cleansing.

Too late. Once the government of this country gets a taste of any kind of power, they don't stop. They know that they can manipulate the ignorant masses into believing anything that they say.

Last time I checked, sand doesn't burn very well.

On a serious note, we do not want these frickers taking control of Iraq but US boots on the ground shouldn't be needed.

The militants don't have any meaningful air defense measures. US air power alone can keep them from advancing if the Iraqi army is willing to do any fighting at all.

We won't be sending troops according to President Obama. Bully on him.

It's high time the EU and the Middle East start banding together to handle their own fricking problems.

Let China take care of it since 90% of their oil needs come from that region, supertankers haven't made the US trek in almost 40 years.

China and Europe should pay for it all if UN drones are used time they stood up and were counted.

I bet Iran would stop all this shite if their Chinese neighbor was in the mix cause they don't have compassion and empathy like our sissified selves.
