The reason why the Bama offense has been so hard to stop in recent years has been an incredible OL. While they are still decent there, they just simply aren't what they were in the past few years. Sure, recruiting has continued apace, but no matter how many top ranked HS guys a team picks up, there is always a much greater than average chance for a bust along the OL than anywhere else.

I agree with you, but you can only sign the best players available and Alabama (Nick) does just that. I understand that Blue collar teams like 2013 Auburn have an edge, sometimes, usually talent wins out. Now, does Bama have 1's across the board on the O-line? No. However, Alabama usually doesn't get into shootouts, with rare exceptions, like UGA '12 or A&M '13. Alabama wins with defense. It's just what we do. Alabama has never really been an "offensive team" that's why it took forever to get a Heisman to Tuscaloosa. (Special thanks to A&M's Crow for the Heisman donation before Ingram's arrived )

I'm not too worried about our chances in a 4 team playoff.

Bama fatigue is a real thing. There are plenty of teams that can lose one game and still make the 4 team playoff. I am not sure that Bama is one, just because everyone is sick of them but Bammers. I think the voters are looking for anyone, but...
