As someone already said, Panasonic is great. Have one now that's going on 5 years old (granted it's a plasma, but it had, by FAR, the best picture quality of anything available in 2010....was the top rated plasma by Consumer Reports at the time).

Ironically, Sharp is the brand rated by CR as the most reliable of all of them.
