What if, hypothetically, you are a scholarshipped athlete taking your courses by email?

Are you a "sidewalk" letterman?

I'm not sure why there's confusion with "sidewalk". Sidewalk to me simply means you did not attend the school, it has nothing to do with your fanhood passion. Some of the biggest and most loyal supporters of SEC schools never attended.

So in your example, no that's impossible, because you'd be attending the school.

There is very little to separate a "sidewalk fan" from a "tshirt fan", unless you relate "tshirt fans" to be "bandwagon fans".

Either way, it would be hard to call anyone who possesses a degree from said school to be any sort of the fan above of said school.

I don't like the term sidewalk fan. It feels like a put down. We are still fans and some of us are good fans.

It's like calling a ginger soulless. Gingers still have souls.
