Knowing every single thing we know now, if I was given the choice of:

1)Fully stocked, fully healthy secondary with Wiggins, JHC, Matthews, etc. and Grantham, or

2)What we're facing now and Pruitt,

I'd take 2.

We take the lesser of two evils in this situation. We get a coach we all feel is better and the tradeoff is completly starting fresh at DB. It might not be pretty but I think we are all happy to see Grantham go. I just don't enjoy watching talented guy after talented guy go play for other teams when teams like Auburn and Bama would never get rid of them. Bama just let DJ Pettway back on the team and what that guy did was awful. They win at any cost and they have titles to prove it.

Of course, that's normal and I imagine everyone feels the same. It's almost like a personal insult. But look at the bigger picture. Pruitt isn't dumb, he knows exactly what he's doing, as proven by his resume. If he didn't personally feel that these guys were worth keeping around, then gtfo. Would you rather know that we've got guys 100% committed to doing things exactly how we want, or highly ranked guys who want to loaf in practice and get in trouble?

It's funny, for YEARS our fans kept saying "Saban processes players every year. I wish we would do that! We're always the nice guy though so we'd never do something like that". So now here we are kicking off the bad apples who arent' buying into the program, ie processing them, and people complain about it.
