I meant undersized by the standards of Alabama DT's. He's closer to 6' than 6'2
Gotcha. Though Chapman was about 6'1", I see your point.

LSU fans on this board have said this exact thing about EVERY recruit Alabama has gotten out of Louisiana.
Every single one.
I think he is a good player, myself.
No one knows all the reasons guys like Cam Sims weren't offered, but I trust our staff on Louisiana prospects more than Bama's.

Hopefully he can be as dominant Anthony "Freak" Johnson right?

It's not just Bama recruits out of LA that they say that about. It's ALL of them that leave the state.

I don't want this to degenerate into a pissing content, but seeing as how Bama's staff has signed multiple number 1 recruiting classes...

I didn't know your number one recruiting classes were all Louisiana guys, my bad

No, they're not. But guys like Cam Robinson, Cam Sims, Hootie Jones, and O.J. Smith sure do help

Ah, I see what you meant now. My bad.

Well we put up a fight for Cam Rob and Hootie... Didn't recruit Simms or O.J, do your point is kinda mute. And honestly losing Hootie allowed us to get Jamal Adams so I'm not too fussed. Only loss was Cam Rob we could have used him

Serious question: did oj smith qualify?

Trust me that was just to fill a spot on the roster.

Cam Robinson could have gone to any school he wanted, and Hootie could have gone to almost any. Not exactly groundbreaking scouting work there.
I'm talking borderline guys that don't have offers from every school, like Cam Sims and OJ. I trust that our staff gets to see these in-state guys enough to decide whether they are a fit for LSU, be that scheme, character, or anything-else-wise, better than Alabama or any other school due to accessibility and connections.
Granted, Alabama has their fair share of Louisiana connections as well.

Personally I think both fanbases are guilty of being childish when it comes to LA players going to Bama.

Going to ignore the LSU vs Bama piss contest...
Solid but not awesome NT prospect. Has the girth and motor (motor as far as highlights can tell based on his pursuit of the play) Needs to work on his technique a lot. Most likely not going to be a guy who makes an early impact, but then again rarely does any of them on our Dline. I can see why LSU wasn't really looking that hard at him and why a school like FSU may have been.

I would say Daylon Charlot appears to be a pretty good scouting job thus far.
TD is a nice player who obviously impressed at camp this week against many of the best in the nation. Lil Boosie also loves how all the LA guys head to Bama :)

On what basis? He is good at camps?

A Bama fan with good insight and isn't homerish? Color me surprised.

The basis that LSU would have/will offer whenever he gets on campus. The fact that he has received offers from USC, Miami, A&M, FSU, since he committed to us and he had an offer from us before he hit the camp circuit and dominated.

So its locked in as a good scouting job? What if the dude gets to campus and catches 10 balls in his career? Good scouting job still?
Camps are worthless for anything besides exposing athleticism. There are a lot of great athletes, but not many great football players.
