Obviously, I'm exaggerating but you get my point...and you know it's true. Some LSU fans on this board think y'alls walk-on freshman long snapper is a better DB than VH3
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Those same people would say "No." if you asked them if they would trade Harris or Jennings for Jameis Winston. Just how they roll
actually most people have said yes about spurrier if he were younger and no to sumlin. is there something wrong with that? sumlin hasn't finished ahead of miles yet in the conference standings. why would lsu want to trade for him as of now? because a&m just gave him a ton of money?

LOL. What is this Miles fits the culture bullshut. He likes to overeat, drink way to much, and only work a few months outta the year?
I guess if your stuck with him you better make the best of it.

Yea, he's an idiot.
Obviously Spurrer 10-15 years ago would be ideal for LSU.
And of course I'd prefer Saban have never left.

Because Freeze is a much better coach than Sumlin. I'll defend that all day.
based on what? a recruiting class and a couple of winning seasons?

I'll admit, that is an odd thing to say. I don't think Saban was a cultural fit for South Louisiana at all, but he did ok.

Miles' attitude is what makes him a great fit. He's personable and takes up for his players every chance he gets. He never throws his guys under the bus.

I could always make a "thank god for Louisiana" thread.
Can someone explain the Les fits Louisiana culture thing because it makes no sense.

Read my above post. It's not cultural.

No, I wouldn't trade Miles for any coach in the SEC. Les Miles is too entertaining, you never know what he is going to do or say next that when grab national media attention. And he loves being in Louisiana.

Every fan base on this board defends their current players and coaches. I'm not sure how LSU fans are any different in this regard.

I'm still trying to figure out how this is relevant for me saying your schtick is played out, and to not derail this thread.

I like Miles but if he were to retire I’d first offer the job to Cam Cameron. If CC passed on the job I’d love to have Chip Kelly. Would have been awesome to see what Spurrier would have done with Louisiana talent, scary!

I hate OM so that could be a problem

I was partially just flaming, although there is a large portion here that my statement is true for. If I was an LSU fan, I wouldn't trade Miles for anyone. Saban, maybe, but there is no better fit for LSU than Les Miles. Y'alls fanbase is a hoot(not in a bad way at all) and Les fits that personality, while Saban fits perfectly at Bama with their dry, always the best, "don't talk football with me, you're an Ole Miss fan and all I know about college football is the number 14 and you're Ole Miss" mentality.

Well, if you had asked me this back in December 2011, I would agree with you. We had outplayed and outcoached Bama in 2010 and November 2011, and Les had his foot on Saban's throat. 2011 was such a young team, back-to-back wasn't out of the question.
The mulligan changed everything, and suddenly Les was back to being hated irrationally and saban cemented himself as superior. Now we've been rebuilding and should be top 5 starting next season
