Sorry if Germans, but I ran across this link on the spirit board. It was put together by some students but very well done. There are interviews with Button, Matt Smith, Basham, and McKean. Kinda puts everything into perspective. Those of you who have played at a high level and pressure situations can relate. I think everyone could take something from it.

That was painful to watch... I was in RF during that game and can remember the countdown. There were a few guys next to me who even yelled "FOUR!" as the ball was bouncing toward Button.

A buddy of mine got an entire cooler dumped over his head when Smith hit the walk off in game 1. He got a DUI later that night.

Damn, that was painful reliving that shite. If Bittle wouldn't have gotten hurt, I believe the Rebels could have won the whole thing if they could have gotten there. Bittle was just nasty.

Eh. We would have gotten out there but LSU and Texas were both far and away the best two teams in college baseball that year.

That was really well done (for students of course)... It does suck for Button... He had a sister that played softball for the Rebels too so their family did a lot for OM athletics.

I can't believe he still carries that much anger around.. You can see his demeanor change and he talks about punching people in the face and shite.
