How in the hell does someone reach this conclusion based off of Google's homepage?

I'm IN the military right now
Plenty of young people have a healthy respect for those who've fought and died for our freedom. Especially post 9-11.
Come off it, old man

Thanks for serving our country! IMO there's a huge loss of respect for our military than say 15 years ago in our younger generation... A lot of these guys won't agree because of their age, but 15 years ago there was such a deeper respect for our military...

15 years ago was before both the Afghanistan and Iraqi freedom campaign that has impacted more youth than any war since the late 60s. This war was fought by people who are still young and this country is more responsive than ever towards Military service. You are an unplugged idiot.

Not like in the 80's, there is no more fanfare and celebration. I mean back in the 80's we were proud, Hulk was doing his thing.

You seem to be upset at my opinion... Why take this to the elementary level? I respect your disagreement with my opinion, no reason to insult you either since we really have no idea who each other is IRL

You have a case of false nostalgia.

This is incorrect.
Respect for servicemen and women went up sharply after 9-11.

Sorry if we take it personally when you're shitting on our generation while building up yours with a holier than thou tone.

15 years was really just an arbitrary number... I was just using that as a point of reference...

just say the 80's, nobody can deny the 80's.

I really think you are wrong on this one. As someone that served almost 30 years ago (85-94), I don't remember anymore respect shown then, than there is now. I believe we tend to think things were always better back in the "good old days".

You failed, then.

Because your statement is obviously retarded and that's the only way can justify actually replying to it.
I'm in the Service with others that have been on 30 or so years that will tell you in a heartbeat that the civilian outlook towards the military has never been higher.
You couldn't be more wrong, basically.
