Ridiculous Overreaction Re: Alabama Players and the Cars

I'll be up front by saying that I think that Alabama is dirty in their recruiting. But, I think that LSU is too and so is every major SEC school that is trying. So, I am not throwing stones.
As for the car thing, let me also say that accusing Alabama boosters or anyone else related to the university of buying cars for players is kind of ridiculous. And, unnecessary.
Why couldn't the player's parents lease a Charger for their son for 3 years at around $200 a month? If the dealership wants to give the low interest rate and have the Alabama football player advertise their dealership for them, then what does that have to do with Alabama, per se?
Lots of families could afford a car like that for their college son. Especially when they firmly believe that he will be a 1st round draft pick in 3 years. So, they lease it for him now and he pays them back later. In the mind of a parent of a 4 or 5 star football player for Alabama it makes perfect sense, even if they have to sacrifice so that their son can have a nice ride while in school.
Leasing these cars for 3 years/36K miles is really not that expensive if the dealership works with you. The dealership has every incentive to work with these families and the families have every reason to bless their son.
I do not see where the scandal is.

That's because you're an LSU Tiger and not an Auburn Tiger.

It's okay, dude. Let them be racists. We all know black people can't afford a new car.

So you don't see a black guy with a car and think something is afoul? Congrats, you're not racist.

Wouldn't that be a violation of NCAA rules? And if Alabama knew about these deals and played the player, wouldn't they also be in violation?
Just asking.

Funny this thread coming from you...Who really cares who is driving what and how they got it? I rather continue to play it out on a field.
All the benefits talk is just to rile up fans. I truly think illegal benefits to athletes is more overplayed anyway. Does it happen? Yes, but not on the level most want to believe.

Cause that is a violation, numbnuts! Especially if the dealership owner is a booster, numbnuts!
What part do you not understand, numbnuts?

The scandal, just like the Saban to Texas rumor, exists only in the minds of basement dwellers on message boards.

Lol it's called improper benefits. You're not supposed to accept any benefits/breaks for being an athlete.
I don't give a shite, you haven't seen me in these threads getting my panties in a wad. But people on these boards can be like a tipped over barrel on a boat deck. Rolling back and forth on their outlook on improper benefits depending on if it's their school or not.
ETA: I admit I have no idea if Henry could have gotten it legit. But anyone with healthy perspective knows that you should laugh about this rather than pick up some mantle you don't carry for other schools when it looks fishy. IMHO people need to loosen up (both sides).

Say you do just that then you tack on insurance (required by law) and you're paying $350 bucks a month total (young men in sports cars are expensive). Not too many families outside of the upper middle class can afford to spend that much a month and not too many college football players come from upper middle class families (although a few do). However, college football has always been a game dominated by hicks, hayseeds, and those from poorer areas within cities as well as in rural areas.
