Didn't Clowney win the SEC Defensive Player of the Year as well... didn't he play the same position as Sam in the same SEC? Didn't he do it as a true Sophomore while Sam was four years into his College career?

Actually this past season....
Clowney obviously was the highest NFL draft pick, but he wasn't the SEC pick for DPOY in 2013. I am sure this isn't bothering him in the least.
For whatever reason, Clowney seemed to slack off his effort in 2013. Fortunately, for him, it did not hurt his draft stock.
