yep, and Clay wasn't.

From what I've seen it's a pretty nappy weblog(mrsec) of various bloggers from around the sec and many are just the same opinion ranting blowhards we see on this very forum, your defence of them make's me suspect you are one of those mrsec bloggers.

As for the "3 dollars a month carriage" you are quoting that was just one scenario he posted, so he was just throwing figures around to show what different fees would bring in, as for it being too high, well I know a huge number of SEC fans that would gladly pay 3bucks a month for the SEC network, so the validity of that rate depends on if you are talking inside or outside the footprint.

As for credible bloggers on the internet.. lmao "real journalism" again waiting for you to post these facts you keep claiming about credible sources, not seeing any.

Fact is, when 90+% of everybody in and out of the SEC was yelping horror at the very though of Mizzou in the SEC, Clay was laying out exactly why it made sense in a methodical, logical way. The fact that he can also do that with a bent of humor at the same time makes him a far more worth while read than a bunch of so called "serious journalist" from some blog site whose opinion is no more valid than anyone elses.

If you don't like Clay Travis for whatever reason, fine, I'm not telling anyone they should, but claiming you have credibility and facts vs it just being your opinion are two very different things.

The John guy was the only one on MR SEC covering realignment and he was on the Mizzou bus long before Clay was. John was there in early 2010 and Clay did not seem to get on the Mizzou bus till at least a year later. I am not going back and reading 2 years of blogs just to post the links but I do remember pretty well that when Clay did start covering it it was stuff John had already posted before.

You can refuse to believe this, but my memory seems pretty clear on this.

Yeah, but he was just retelling the stuff John at Mr SEC had already laid out. Which is my beef with Clay. Using another persons work and nor sourcing them is not real tough to do. In the age of blogs wanting hits I understand it, but that does not make it right.

I have said on here many times he was funny early on and enjoyed some of his stuff. It is not wether I like Clay as a person (which I have no problem with) but that he steals other work and claims it as his own. That is where I have the problem.

BTW, I forgot one of the better sources was Kristi Dosh and her "business of college sports" blog before she got hired by ESPN and stopped writing it. Very good stuff on there about how conferences worked and very informative during realignment.
