How Much Does Saban Really Care About Player Safety?

So AJ becomes another in a long list of Alabama players to disclose they played injured during their time in Tuscaloosa.
The below tweet re: Cy Ko prior to the NFL Draft sounds kind of callus to me. Kouandjio subsequently fell to the 2nd round and I'm sure injury concerns played a large role.
Bama players are widely considered to be beat up and worn down by the time they enter the NFL yet Nick Saban chooses to focus on the impact of the HUNH rather than the affect his own "process" has on player safety?

Why should he care about a player's *potential* injuries 6 years from now? He's a college football coach, he should only be concerned with winning college football games.

When I played Pee Wee football it was not unusual for a player to play with broken bones.
I played one game with a compound fracture of the fibula.
I averaged 36 yards for 4 punts.
So it can be done.

Not since he was shot down by the rules committee after his behind the scene efforts to change the rule were exposed

Seems like his system is affecting the way guys choose to treat their injuries. When a players knows there's a chance of being "processed". Or in the middle of the season how are injuries to starters treated? Are they allowed to properly rehab or seek surgery as needed rather than letting the injuries linger until afterwards?
I also don't like the attitude from the Bama doc that "you can 5-6 years out of him" with implication being he can be discarded at the end possibly with knees made of metal
