Exactly. Nickel is a different position than Corner.

And it is usually played by eh 3rd best CB. I only said 5th DB because some teams have a safety better than their 3rd CB.
It isn't a different position.
No team has a player that is a pure Nickel.
I will make an exception for Tyann Matthieu. LSU used to play him in a nickel a lot, but it is because he could play like a small OLB. Strong against the run, blitz, and cover slot Receivers.
