I just moved to Dallas last week. I'd encourage everyone to move and get out of their comfort zone for at least a little while. I have every intention of moving back at some point but it's nice to see another part of the country.

I'm glad I moved to Colorado because it made me appreciate my roots that much more.
With that said, I'd love to move back home. I miss Georgia.

I moved to New Mexico. So count me as formerly one of those 4 in 10.

I'll likely have to leave the state after my current stint but I wouldn't leave GA just to leave it. My dream job is here but there are some places I'd go in a heartbeat for work but none for the sole reason of leaving GA. I left GA once on my own and immediately came back so whoever said appreciating your roots was dead on for me.

How can you not love a song where the chorus is...

Not saying I want to leave Georgia, but Hawaii, California, Colorado, and Florida are places I would not mind living in.

Wyoming represent
But seriously, I have no intentions in ever moving back to Georgia. I love the great state, but I have moved on. I have my eyes set on Oregon.

And some day I'd like to move out there as well. Well not to Yellowstone but to Bozeman. Love it out there.

You don't wanna move here

Beautiful area obviously, but more of a place to visit than live. I'm seeking my way out

Georgia is a nice Southern state, that said they tax the hell out of you for everything and you don't get much on the return.
Our DOT and large city planners are idiots for the most part and vision is in short supply.
Atlanta has boosted skilled labor and professional wages on up the ladder. IMO the best thing is secure Atlanta wages and get transferred into another state.

Dallas is basically a carbon copy of Atlanta but flatter, hotter, and with more tolls.
It's similar, yes. But also 800 miles away from anyone I know. Hence, I'm out of my comfort zone.
