Regardless where the ol comes from, it has always been a weak spot for Richt, atleast here recently.

It's been a while since we have had a stud lineman. Was hoping Theus would be that.

I think of Burnette, Lee, and Andrews as studs.

Burnette and Lee gone, of course.

I think we've had some stud linemen, we've just never had 5 at the same time.

Recruiting has alot to do with it in my opinion.

What if Tunsil (just one example) came to UGA, and was in the mix for a starting position this year, along with who we've already got competing for positions...

Would our offensive line be better or worse in 2014?

I typed up a whole Line Of Scrimmage recruiting thing a few months ago, comparing UGA to Bama, over the last 6 years or so.

As a % of total recruits signed, Bama signs more Line of Scrimmage players than UGA. The average star rating, based on 247, Bama also won. The margin was small, but an extra player here, and extra star there, over the course of several classes, you are going to field a better offensive line.

Bama is signing More and Better linemen, offensive and defensive.

Is it any wonder they "reload" every year instead of rebuilding?

I think the S&C for the lineman hasn't been top notch either, I question Will Friend's abilities to teach fundamentals, and by proxy, Bobo. But that is all just observation over the years and not based on anything specific.
