Combine the 2 rosters and that team might have a chance.

We'd stomp everyone's arse if we combined the rosters. Nobody would come close to the talent we would have on the defensive/offensive lines or at receiver.

No. But State will be deeper than OM at QB, RB, TE, DL, DB, and maybe LB.
Bama is too loaded and every team in the West except Aub, and maybe Lsu can forget beating Bama next year, won't happen. I think Bama wins the West this year and the SEC. Too well coached and too good.
LSU-Best year for State to get a win but not likely to happen since in BR. Even if State was better than LSU top to bottom we would still lose to LSU, I almost could guarantee it.

Maybe normally, I'd probably agree. Not this year. Both OM and MSU has not only talent but depth to go with it. You combine the two, holy shat.

Or at DE or LB & the 2 most experienced talented QB's coming back.

If State and OM combined we'd be as good as Bama every fricking year, or better.

Well, since we haven't beaten LSU in 20 years
Trust me, that is not a requirement to win the SEC.

I think Ole Miss is closer than State...not that State isn't going to be good this year. I just think OM is a little further ahead and they have to play OM at OM. That being said, I don't think we can get through the year not losing to 2 between Bama, AU, at TAMU, at LSU. We SHOULD win the rest...but we all know how that goes. Of course, if we have the IMMENSE amount of luck that AU had last year, anything can happen.
The one thing I CAN predict with certainty is that OM will NOT lose to TSBU at home.

Based on losing 4/5 and the last meeting to us? Or because of your lone victory of LSU? Just curious. I feel we have more depth, in the trenches and especially on the defensive side of the ball.

based on the fact that we play in Oxford. Home team always win unless they field a team like 2010 which is highly unlikely

Yeah, home field is always a big advantage in the EB.

I always concede the outcome before the season starts based on location. location, location, location.

A lot of things could happen between the start of the season and the EB. There will be 11 other games than we'll play first. That's what I'm basing my opinion on, not just where the EB is played this year.

Ole Miss is definitely closer but neither team will win. Ole Miss will lose some games they should win (Bama) but State won't win the west.

Alabama's defense will give us fits but LSU, and this is not a flame, has had a terrible time slowing down our offense the last 2 years. I'm not too terribly concerned about the LSU defense.
Our defense will be better this year. We lost somepalyers but more or less anyone who showed a spark of life is back. We lose 2 underachieving DT's ands and 2 meh OLB's.
we are also going to be at home. Y'all needed 3 picks and last second fg to win i think we take this one.

I think both schools are set for up seasons while the rest of the west might be down. Whether one will make it to Atlanta, I don't know. But I'd expect at least 17-18 combined wins between the two.

Logical fans will never put Bama in the category of "games we should win."
