Is there any question? Look, I get it, Fairley is a member of the fambly. AU protects their own even in the face of all logic and reason. The SEC convinced the NCAA to ignore their own rules that year for auburn. I mean there is no question about it. You had the PAC12 and Big 10 commissioners come out PUBLICLY and question how on Earth the NCAA/SEC could keep Newton eligible. That is unprecedented. So yeah, if the SEC is going to go that far, why would they suspend Fairley for a blatantly intentional dirty hit.
