Taken from The Rant:

Tahj Jones incident and state of LSU program

It seems with the recent tragedy that some pundits / blogs are trying to connect this incident to the state of the LSU football program (bringing up recent issues with Brazil, Mathieu, Hill, Jefferson, etc.), even though the two men involved in this case are no longer student-athletes (the shooter being 13 years removed from LSU).

A thread like this has been started some time ago related to SEC programs and arrest numbers, but I thought I'd tie in to the discussion of the Jones shooting and update the stats.

Here's the number of arrest/citations from 2010 to date (per arrestnation.com):
Missouri - 20
Georgia - 19
Florida - 16
Tennessee - 16
TX A&M - 15
Ole Miss - 14
Arkansas - 13
Kentucky - 12
Alabama - 11
Auburn - 10
S. Carolina - 9
LSU - 6 (Mathieu not included b/c his arrest came post-LSU)
Miss St. - 6
Vandy - 3

The perception (in media and forums) seems to be that LSU leads the SEC in such incidents -- mainly due to the high profile cases (Hill, Jefferson, Mathieu), I suppose. But the facts seem to indicate otherwise.

Motherfrickin facts!

I'd love to know how many players have been dismissed by their teams.
