Gus didn't have tendencies last season? I thought it was a point of pride that AU only ran 4 plays..

Auburn, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M will have the top offenses, IMO (no specific order).

Yeah, but nobody knew which one of the four plays were coming next.

That's not the same as having tendencies. If you can be successful running the same 4 plays, why run 30? That's just being smart and efficient. When they say he doesn't have tendencies, they're referring to calling plays when it matters, not when you can just run the ball over and over again at will. In close games, or when the game is on the line, he keeps defenses guessing.

Malzahn is as good as it gets at playing to the strengths of who he's got on the team, especially at QB. People forget that he has never, NEVER, had a starting QB for two years in a row since he's been a college coach. He has that this year. And the second year under a coach/system is almost always when you see the biggest improvement, and that's the case on both sides of the ball this year.

I think our QB play will be better. I think our OL will be better overall. I think our WR play will be better, especially with the addition of Dhaquille Williams. And I think our RB play will be as good as it was last year, even with Mason gone. I think CAP, Barber, Grant and Roc Thomas will probably be more productive running the ball this year overall than the RB's were last year.

To sum it up, I think our offense is going to be absolutely deadly.
