LSU could win 12 games next year and still see under 20,000 at their spring game

Five months after playing for a National Championship, LSU posted a whopping 33,000.
This is what comes from shooting your mouth off without knowing the facts.

I'm expecting 6-6 or 7-5 next year honestly. Anything above that would be an amazing coaching job by Butch.
You are making progress. that is the main thing. Going in the right direction. Congrats on the attendance. the hardest thing for a coach is to build excitement around his program. if he can get the fans excited, that will spill over into recruiting...then the results can be seen on the field. Congrats!

Hey dumbarse, LSU had all the seats removed in the north and east stands this year. And the south was a construction zone. Which is why we had over 10,000 less than last spring.
I've seen this used as an excuse by other LSU fans...and I am truly not trying to troll...but, even missing those seats, why would that affect the attendance? i mean, there were empty seats that were available, I am guessing. Just because SOME seats were unusable.....
Do you think they stayed away because they didn't want to get around the construction, or were the available seats bad? I KNOW how rabid LSU fans are about their football...just seems odd to me.

About 3/4 of the stadium had the seats removed to reseal the concrete.
quote:
At Tiger Stadium, bleachers in the east, north and west sections of the lower bowl have deteriorated and will either be replaced or reinstalled depending on their condition, David said. The south section will not be treated because maintenance was done two years ago. The process starts with the removal of all bleachers in the aforementioned areas, David said. The concrete where the bleachers were removed will then be cleaned and waterproofed. David said waterproofing involves application of a topical coating to the concrete.
The replacement or reinstallation of the bleachers will complete the project, making for sturdier seating on gamedays while protecting the concrete structure of the stadium for long-term use. These precautions will be complete before the first home game of the coming season on Sept. 6, David said. They will amount to $1.6 million.

Funny how Bama was criticized and made fun of for drawing capacity or near capacity crowds, but it becomes a bragging point when other schools draw good sized crowds.
Seems to be a little hypocrisy at work here.

there's more stuff to do around BR and Nola than to go sit through a practice

Yeah that never happens in Alabama...
Bama fan kills woman for not being upset enough over Iron Bowl

It happens rarely in tuscaloosa, while it's a daily occurance in NOLA and BR. Keep deflecting though, this is entertaining.

Yeah, I know man. Baton Rouge is the most exciting town ever. There's so much going on that I'm surprised people even go to the games.

You can say that about a lot of things there. Which explains why Alabama players routinely appear on the Fulmer Cup list. And LSU players don't.
Did that entertain you? It sure entertained me.

What doesn't happen is LSU players getting in trouble and showing up on the Fulmer Cup list. So there must be something going on to keep them entertained.
Sorry that's not true of Knoxville.

-Oh wait! There are none! My bad!
I really don't think you want to compare UT's Fulmer Cup appearances with LSU's.
Wouldn't be wise.

Tennessee has had very little off the field problems of late. Really nothing in three years

That's great, I'm glad for you. I'm even gladder for us, since lately, and historically speaking, LSU player have barely been a blip on the Fulmer Cup radar.
All I ask is our due, which is we have a lot more do do in these parts than most places. When our players get tired of Red Stick, they can head down to the Big Easy.
Not everyone has that kind of luxury, or cornucopia of choices as to where to go to have fun.
