Unless there wasnt a creek or any kind of water nearby thats why you didnt see them.

Anyone who thinks water moccasins/cotton mouths aren't aggressive has never had one try to get in the boat with you when you're fishing. Those things are sumbitch mean.

Yep, I grew up on a farm that had a pond and a river running across it. Almost all of the time, the snakes we crossed were down by the river. There was a copperhead however that was living up against our storm shelter for a summer. I went to step off it one time when we were playing on top of it and he was sitting right there on the ground. You would occasionally see him sunning on top of it. I can't remember why but for some reason we never killed it that summer.
