Moccassins are aggressive as hell. We had one coming at us on a putting green a morning after a big rain.

I also was in a fight of life and death with one at my house in Florida. I had a shovel and felt like a boxing match. I had a hell of a time hitting it with the shovel head. When I finally did you would have thought I won a title belt...

For the most part I leave them alone. Not cottonmouths. This SoBs ask for it. I've run off most rattlesnakes and copperheads (other than the one I found in my yard, because that's my yard and my kids play there) but every one of those I've killed have been the aggressor.

I kid you not. We were fishing in a creek once and one sleeping in a tree fell a few feet from our boat and started trying to get in there.

Eff that noise.
