Because I would NEVER live on the kS side. We moved to Raymore, after looking in Lees Summit. It's basically Lees Summit, but you can get 25% more house for the money and 25% less taxes. It's right off highway 150, so you can avoid the Triangle/470/435 traffic that Lees Summit folks have to compete with if you are heading toward Olathe. Plus we live on a golf course.

you sound like me. I don't care how much more sense it would make for me to live on that side or how nice the suburbs are, the stubborn side of me that hates all thing ks would never let me live there. I'd drive an extra 30 minutes just to stay in Missouri. No way in hell I'm giving tax revenue and spending my money in kansas That being said, assuming the OP doesn't have an irrational hatred for kansas as do I, I would suggest he live in Olathe.
