If you're looking around Lees Summit you should look into Greenwood. Really close to LS but I think housing might be a little cheaper. Sleepy little town but really close to everything in LS and right off the highway. I'm not from KC but my sister-in-law is and she has lived in Greenwood for years and loves it.
