But only the format where we never kick field goals and score 70 million touchdowns, like any decent Florida team should...

Like the ole ball coach used to do when he never lost by fgs... oh wait....

Would you like more straw for that dragon that you're constructing to slay?

I never said field goals weren't important -- I said that we should have a competent offense in which we don't have to rely on them. That means week in and week out -- hope we hit a field goal so we win.

That ain't gonna cut it. We need to figure out how to produce touchdowns and use field goals as a secondary measure. Teams are getting so creative that they're going to score on you, shutouts just don't happen anymore and the 'ground and pound' offenses are dead.

Shutouts might not happen, but it isn't out of the ordinary to play great defense, and limit teams to a low number of points. Thus, leading to games where if your offense isn't great, you must rely on FG's. I don't want to "rely" on FG's as a UF fan, but I do like to see them win games. There's a number of games last year, where UF does win the game with all the crappy injuries if they had a kicker worth 2 shits.

I agree, the offense needs to be more competent, and execute at a much better rate. The offensive production at UF has been a joke the past few years. However, UF needs a kicker as well, just like every team (use Alabama for example, kicking has boned them in some big games).
