Did Gus bust too early?

The last two coaches took at least a season to hit their peak and it seems that the time from hiring to peak to firing is getting noticeably shorter at Auburn. Did Gus climax too early?
Did he set expectations too high by getting to the BCS NCG in his first season? Won't anything less than a National Championship forever be a disappointment?
Could he potentially be fired after a nine win season a la Frank Solich?

I think the important part of your graph is that the last 2 coaches have had much improved second seasons. Seems like the Gus Bus will have no brakes...

I ran the data through my master algorithm and that's what my projections seem to indicate. Maybe he should have been smart like Bielema who ensured his longevity by setting the bar so low.

Did spurrier at UF he has yet to repeat?Saban won at both LSU and Bama.Dont get me wrong I think Spurrier is a heck of a coach but he has not had the same success.

Pretty sure Saban and Holtz are the only coaches to win NCs at two different schools.

Gus will jump to greener pastures and take his dream job at Arkansas once Bert is fired after going 0-24 in SEC play in 3 seasons.

Well, sane Auburn fans will realize they overachieved big time last year.
They could be a better team next year and end up with 2-3 regular season losses.

Well heck yeah we overachieved that's coaching is it not to push your players farther than what they think they do
